Our Story
At Samoedra, we believe that the well-being of mothers is not just a personal journey it is the heartbeat of society. When a mother thrives, so does her family, her community, and the generations that follow.
Guided by this truth, we are on a mission to address postnatal depletion through holistic, evidence-based care that merges time-honoured traditions with modern science. We create products and programs that honour the deep physiological and emotional transformation of motherhood supporting women through recovery, renewal, and rebirth.
Meet the Founders
Sofia Lane & Ivanna Salehudin
Sofia Erica Lane and Ivanna Salehudin are the heart and vision behind Samoedra. Best friends for over 25 years, these two mothers turned their personal journeys of postnatal recovery into a global mission to redefine maternal wellness. Heritage keepers of Javanese healing traditions, united their lived experiences and cultural wisdom to create a brand rooted in reverence, science, and sisterhood. Together, they represent a new wave of female founders leading with compassion, purpose, and a deep belief that when mothers are well, the world heals with them.

A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDERS…
To every mother reading this—
We see you.
In the quiet moments. The sleepless nights. The days you feel strong, and the ones you don’t.
Samoedra was born from those moments…the tender, raw, unspoken in-betweens of motherhood. We created it not just as a brand, but as a lifeline. A sanctuary. A love letter to you.
We are Sofia Erica Lane and Ivanna Salehudin, best friends for over 25 years, mothers, and now co-founders of a vision that has lived in our hearts for a long time. Across continents, careers, and our own personal transformations, one truth remained: mothers are the foundation of everything. Yet somehow, the world forgets to care for them, especially after they’ve given birth.
We were two women searching for answers…one navigating the fog of postnatal depletion, the other holding space with ancient Indonesian healing wisdom passed down through generations. What started as shared conversations over herbal teas, rituals, and frustration with what wasn’t available… turned into action.
That action became Samoedra, an Australian nutraceuticals company grounded in science, tradition, and sisterhood. Our mission is to restore what has been lost in modern motherhood: reverence, rest, nourishment, and renewal.
Our formulations are inspired by the Javanese 30-day postpartum ritual—a sacred time of care, ceremony, and restoration. We have translated this ancestral wisdom into modern daily rituals using clean, clinically backed, plant-powered ingredients that support your body, mind, and spirit.
This is not just about recovery.
It’s about rebirth.
It’s about remembering that you matter just as much as the life you’ve brought into the world.
And no matter where you are on your journey, early postpartum, years beyond, or simply in need of healing—we want you to know: you’re not alone anymore.
With love, reverence, and unwavering belief in the power of women,
Sofia & Ivanna
